Update on Taiz Zoo 2021:

A Lion’s Heart had supported the Taiz Zoo through 2019 when news came a local approved much larger non profit would support in 2020. The zoo said it would contact A Lion’s Heart when additional funds are required. Amy was able to focus on fundraising for new enclosures, both A Lion’s Heart and this other local non profit share this dream.

In Jan. 2021 a trip was financed for another independent non profit to do a “follow up.” After 5 years of support and a small break, to our delight the animals were not starving but to our sadness they do require more vitamins, medicines and vaccines. A Lion’s Heart immediately reached out to the other organization to offer our assistance. Gladly they accepted it and we are working on a way forward together in a partnership as we believe we are STRONGER TOGETHER FOR THEM!
